July 2010: 10 Loves, 10 Hates and 30 Random Facts-Updated list follows...

Loves: 1. God 2. Family 3. Friends 4. My basset hound, Max 5. My job at the library 6. Books 7. Exercising 8. Carlsbad, NM and small towns in general 9. Swimming pools 10. Napoleon Dynamite- My favorite movie of all time Hates: 1. Depression 2. Broken hearts 3. Cold weather 4. Loud noises 5. Oversleeping 6. Negativity 7. Scary movies 8. Feeling nauseous 9. Not knowing my future 10. Living in big cities- Hard to believe I lived in one for a total of 17 years. Random Facts About Me: 1. I tend to read several books in the same period. 2. I do not like to put my face underwater. 3. At the age of 26, I had my tonsils removed. 4. I met Fabio at a hair show in Austin, TX in 1995. 5. I look forward to being a mother. 6. I did not want to have children when I was in my 20s. 7. I have never had to make monthly car payments because I got them all used and paid once. 8. I cannot eat ice cream due to lactose intolerance. 9. I always have to have my toenails painted, but I rarely paint my fingernails. 10. When I was a child, I wanted to be an actress or a model. 11. For the majority of my life, I felt that my entire future had to be mapped out and turn out that way. 12. My favorite actress of all time is Doris Day. 13. My first record was Donna Summer's Bad Girls in 1983. 14. I am the only person in my immediate family who does not like science fiction movies. 15. I did not listen to 80s music when I grew up in the 1980s because I preferred to listen to music from the 50s and 60s and Mom listened to lots of Neil Diamond. 16. I don't know much about today's pop music, because I mostly listen to KLOVE radio station (plays Christian music) or music from my younger days. 17. When I was a teenager, a lot of people expected me to attend a four-year college but I wanted to go to beauty school instead. 18. I had always wanted to take dance lessons as a child, but I was not very coordinated and chose to join Brownies instead. 19. I preferred my own company to the company of others. I enjoyed playing by myself. 20. Winnie-the-Pooh is my favorite Disney character. 21. I sleep with several stuffed animals. Ah, the joys of sleeping solo. 22. The death of my first basset hound was one of the worst days of my life. 23. The nursery theme I would like to have for my babies is Winnie-the-Pooh. 24. If books did not exist, I don't know what I would do. 25. I have written 2 unpublished novels. These novels came about two years in a row during National November Writing Month. The goal was to write a 50,000-word novel in 30 days. 26. If I was wealthy, I would spend the winter months in Australia because it would be summer there. 27. I would rather fly to the moon than live in a place like Seattle or Alaska. 28. I do not like to be fixed up on blind dates. I am capable of choosing my own men. 29. I have seen Kutless in concert 3 times (in Mesa, AZ; Truth or Consequences, NM; and in Carlsbad, NM). 30. I do not watch the news because it gets depressing.

Random Facts About Me: 1. I tend to read several books in the same period. 2. I do not like to put my face underwater. 3. At the age of 26, I had my tonsils removed. 4. I met Fabio at a hair show in Austin, TX in 1995. 5. After facing a broken engagement several years ago, I have decided not to look for love and leave that completely up to God. 6. I might consider adoption even as a single woman. 7. I have never had to make monthly car payments because I bought them all used and paid in cash. 8. The death of my father was one of the hardest days of my life, but I felt some relief because I knew he was no longer suffering from cancer. 23. The goal was to write a 50,000-word novel in 30 days. 25. Since 2014, I have self-published 2 books: Pieces of Me (2014) and Living Single Today (2017). 26. If I was wealthy, I would spend the winter months in Australia because it would be summer there. 27. If I was given the chance to live anywhere for one year with all expenses paid, I’d choose Australia. 28. I have tried online dating at least 4-5 times and decided that it is just NOT for me. 29. I got my bachelor’s degree in English literature at the age of 40. 30. My dream job is to be a full-time self-published author; one part-time job will be a bonus and time away from home.
